Our story
Who we build for, and what we specialise in
Urban Build works from Farnborough for homeowners across Hampshire, Surrey and the Berkshire border who want more from the house they already own. Most of our work starts the same way: a family has outgrown the layout, the kitchen is dark and cut off from the garden, or the loft and garage hold storage rather than living space.
We specialise in the structural half of that work: extensions, loft and garage conversions, structural alterations, RSJ installation, groundworks and drainage, and we finish it as well. Because structure, drains, groundworks and finish all sit with the same team, there is one point of responsibility from start to finish rather than several to coordinate.
The team is deliberately small: a core of around five experienced tradespeople, with trusted subcontractors brought in only where a job genuinely needs them. That is why we quote carefully rather than taking on everything that comes through the door.
Our working area covers Farnborough, Camberley, Farnham, Guildford, Godalming, Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Aldershot, Fleet, Frimley, Bagshot, Yateley and the surrounding villages, close enough that we survey, price and supervise every job ourselves.

How we work
Price it properly, once
We survey the structure, ground, drainage and access before quoting. A full itemised quote, around ten pages for an extension, costs £500 and is deducted from the final price if the job goes ahead.
Fixed price, held
The price agreed before work starts is the price you pay. It moves only if you change the scope.
Quote within 21 days
You are not left waiting weeks with no answer. The itemised quote lands within 21 days of the survey.
Engineered, not improvised
Load-bearing work is built to a structural engineer's design, with building control inspections at the stages that require them.
Insured on every job
Public liability and contractors insurance are in place for the work we carry out.
Insurance-backed guarantee
Completed work is covered by an insurance-backed guarantee, so your cover does not depend on us picking up the phone years later.
We publish only figures we can stand behind. Where a number for years trading or projects completed is absent, it is because we would rather omit it than estimate it. Ask on the phone and we will talk you through comparable projects.
We do not carry trade-body badges or membership logos. What we do have is an experienced team, building control sign-off handled by us, and an architect we can call on when a job needs drawings. Planning applications are submitted by you or your architect.
